I am looking for an Uncle that I have never met. His name is Ernest Mills. He married my Aunt Erma Lucille Hays in Decatur, Il on April 26, 1953 and they had a son named Ernest Leroy Mills. Aunt Erma (Hays) Mills was born June 21, 1929. At the time of their marriage, they lived in Decatur, Il. But her obit in the Decatur Herald dated October 6, 1955, states they had moved to Clinton, Il just before her death. I never met my Aunt, as she died young from cancer I was told and I wasn't born until 1958. Would love to meet her family, as the rest of her family has all died. Hope someone can help me! I have learned alot genealogy wise about Aunt Erma's family and I do own two very early photos of her and her family! Look forward to hearing from you, whereever you are!

My PERRY/WHEELER family lines are as follows: John Martin PERRY b/1-19-1851 in Posey County, Ind Sarah Jane WHEELER b/1-21-1864 in Posey County, Ind They were married in 2-14-1883 in Lincoln, Ill. They had nine children mostly born in Nebraska. I found John in the 1880 Orin/Logan/Ill census and he was 29 years old. He still lived at home so I found his parents were Thomas and Emily. I have not found anything on Sarah Jane yet. There obit says they married in Lincoln. I do not have any facts on Sarah Jane's family. Thanks for any help you can offer. Chris

Is there an obituary for James Jesse or Elizabeth (BLANKENSHIP) FRENCH in a paper anywhere near Clinton, DeWITT Co., IL,in 1849? History has it that they died together in a wagon accident. The only record we have is the two sons were appointed guardians. Jesse N FRENCH was appointed Ira SCOTT and George W. was appointed Andrew SCOTT 4 Jun 1849; 6 May 1850 Andrew resigned and William DOWNING was appointed over George. So the deaths were before Jun 1849.

8 Jun 1998 - Donna Tucker - TUCKER - I am researching the TUCKER family. My great grandfather was Wilford William TUCKER, with 2 brothers James & Jake. Born in Dewitt County 2\25\1892, then moving to Iowa. His father's obituary, William TUCKER, died 3/5/1930, says that he was born in DeWitt County also. He is reportedly buried in Rose Cemetery. Any information would be helpful.
